Lot Essay

INDENT Lieutenant John Charles Reginald Rose, educated at Rugby School and Sandhurst was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant, 1911, advanced to Lieutenant, 1914 and was sent to the Front in August; took part in the retreat from Mons and was present in the Battles of the Aisne and the Marne - he was shot and killed by accident in the trenches 8 November, 1914 and was buried Bailleul Communal Cemetery, France (The Bond of Sacrifice refers)
