Lot Essay

First titled Zephir et la Terre, this work was subsequently called Cupidon et Psyche at the 1897 Salon de Paris. It was a great success and Rodin executed a second version, L'Eternel Printemps, with a wider base and a rock with a floral design supporting the left arm.
