Lot Essay

In 1182 Japan was attacked by the Mongols. They were powerful troops who invaded through the north sea in large ships. This foreign invasion alarmed the Japanese causing them to fortify against any further attacks. The Mongols again invaded in 1185 but on this occasion they were driven back by strong winds. Thus, it is called "The Divine Wind".
