The blade honzukuri, iorimune, slight torii-zori, chu-gissaki forging pattern itame, tempered edge with toran of ko-nie, maru-boshi, tang o-suriage, 18 1/8in. (46.1cm.); encased in a roironuri saya inlaid with polished sea-shells, green wrapped tsuka with shibuichi fuchi-kashira, signed Hiroyoshi and kao, the fuchi depicting a seated Mongolian warrior in shibuichi takazogan and gilt, the kashira formed as an elephant in takabori and takazogan, a pair of shibuichi menuki of geese in flight, signed Yoshitsugu, a circular iron tsuba decorated with two foreigners, one with a karashishi on a lead in iron takazogan, signed Tetsugendo Naoshige and a shibuichi kozuka depicting Nio in takazogan, signed Soyo Tomoyoshi saku kore and kao
