the famous and traditions of the prophet Muhammad, manuscript on thick ivory paper, 112ff. plus two flyleaves, each with 15ll. of brown maghribi, headings and important words in red and blue, the word allah in gold, stylised gold trefoils with red dots at the edge nof the text marking a new section, (very occasional staining, minor worm damage to edge of folios), opening folio illuminated with a square of gold-outlined interlace filled with red, blue and gold arabesques around four blue stars containing the words of the title in white ornamental kufic, the final folio with colophon in gold with the altered date 10th Rajab 550/30th August 1155-6 AD (rubbed), brown morocco binding with tooled geometric interlace (scuffed), plain doublures
