a chain of poems in even meters discussing philosophical, ethical and religious themes with illustrative anecdotes, Persian manuscript on gold-sprinkled buff paper, 82ff., each with 21ll. of exceptional nasta'liq, intercolumnar and interlinear divisions in gold between black rules, occasional portions of text in red, gold, blue, red and green margins within black rules, blue outer rule, mounted on pink or blue leaves painted in gold with deer, simurghs, trees and flowers, (slight staining and rubbing, occasional repairs, some folios missing), ff.1v., 30v. and 64v. with finely illuminated gold and polychrome headings, the title written in white, some portions of the text written diagonally, Safavid style black morocco binding with stamped medallion, pendants and cartouche border (spine repaired)

The original work was written in AH 890/1485 AD.

At least the last folio of each of the three parts of the poem in this volume is missing. These last folios may have had the date and signature of the scribe on them.
