A RAQQA LUSTRE AND COBALT BLUE JAR of voluptuous form rising from the foot to a well-rounded shoulder and cylindrical neck with everted rim, the shoulder painted in rich dark lustre with a broad band of inscription between four roundels outlined in blue, with plain and foliate borders above and below, the neck painted with roundels containing fleurs-de-lys motifs, the interstices filled with stylized scrolling vine, a plain lustre band around the rim, 13th century, (repaired, small areas of restoration)
