A SYRIAN POTTERY LUSTRE DISH of rounded form with flat everted rim on short central foot, the white interior painted with a roundel of scrolling motifs within a broad band of loose similar motifs around pairs of radiating lines alternating with bold split palmettes, outer plain lustre and scrolling motif bands, the rim with a band of chevrons, the exterior plain, 13th century (repaired, small restorations to rim)
