Engraved throughout, title, two text leaves, one index leaf, one double page map, one double page plate of university dress, 27 (of 28) views (two folding, 25 double page), extra-illustrated with a folding plate illustrating Mr.Weedon's proposed plan for the improvement of Great Lincoln's Inn Fields, engraved by Simon Gribelin (1661-1733) and printed for Henry Playford (1657-1706?). (All plates torn and repaired, a few with loss to margins, the majority at the folds, some soiling and browning.) Contemporary red morocco, panelled in gilt, g.e. (spine and corners repaired, inner hinges reinforced). Provenance: Thomas Walker, alumnus of Queens' College, Cambridge (inscription). Wing L-2837.
