Beazley, ARV2, 1697, no. 10 bis; only three other janiform kantharoi of this class with woman's and negress's heads opposed were known to Beazley, cf., ARV2, 1534. nos. 9-10. For London Class G, cf., J. D. Beazley, Charinos, JHS, 49, 1929, 47-52, "This is one of the best groups. The object, with a few exceptions is well-constructed. The features are not large or carefully worked out, but there is plenty of character, especially in the ripe mouth swelling towards the middle, and the expression is extraordinarily winsome" (pp. 50-51)
