A commode of an almost identical shape, with the same pattern of angle mount and also fitted with doors to the sides, is in the Dulwich Picture Gallery, London. The Dulwich commode is decorated with musical trophies within a cartouche of similar outline and has a marquetry top. It was bequeathed to the Gallery in 1813 by Margaret Desenfans who had inherited it either from her husband Noel Joseph Desenfans (d. 1807) or from their great friend Sir Francis Bourgeois (d. 1811)
