A RARE YORUBA HEADDRESS, for the Egungun masquerade, carved as a bearded male bust with upraised arms, eight medicine bottles for eshu at the top of the head, eleven on the chest with a carved mask at the back, a further bottle attached to each arm, large metal loops about the cloth-covered base, crusty black patina, crack to one side with some rodent damage
