Erhardi ratdolt Augustensis viri solertis eximia industria: et mira imprimendi arte: qua nuper venetiis: nunc Auguste vindelicorum excellit nominatissimus. xiiij. kalendas. Decembris. Gothic types 9:130 (title) and 4:76 (text), roman type 8:90 (captions). 40 lines. 72 woodcut illustrations, comprising 7 diagrams, 7 half-page and 58 smaller cuts of the planets and constellations (including repeats), woodcut floral initials. All initials and illustrations (except the diagrams) hand-coloured at a somewhat later date. (Lacking the final blank, some stains.) 19th-century roan-backed boards (rubbed).

FIRST EDITION of Abu Ma'shar al-Balkhi ibn Muhammed's Kitab tahawil sini al-alam (Book of revolutions of the world-years), also known as Kitab al-nukat (Book of Subtleties). This is a relatively short Arabic work on the nature of a year (or month or day) as determined by the horoscope of its beginning. The author was a 9th-century astrologer from Khurasan.
