A Correspondence to Denmark
The following lots comprise an extensive business correspondence to Denmark, circa 1798-1807 and 1832-74. Most of the letters are from Ships' Captains, and many show manuscript or h.s. forwarding agents' markings.
cover 1793-1862 E.L., a selection including 1793 "STOCKHOLM"; 1805 from Bergen, and 1842 (3) from Christiania (one showing Stromstad transit d.s.); 1833 from Berne; 1835 with manuscript f.a.c. at Nakskov; 1849 from Valparaiso posted in Copenhagen Foot Post; and 1861-62 from Genoa and Livorno (2) via Switzerland and the Lake Constance route. Some faults but interesting.
