FIRST EDITION of this record of the cabinet of coins, medals, gems, and natural-history specimens at the Bibliothèque Ste. Geneviève, compiled by the curator of the museum. The Bibliothèque was established by Cardinal de Rochefoucauld in 1642, became national property in 1791, was rebuilt in the 19th century and finally the collection was dispersed.
