Provenance: Library of the Congregation of the Oratorians (partially erased ownership inscriptions: 'Bibl. Cong. Orat.'); Franklin H. Kissner (sale Christie's 3 October 1990 lot 246 sold #935).

FIRST EDITION of the first work, and rare. It shows the ruins as they were in circa 1611, together with a reconstruction of the buildings as they would have been in their heyday. The second work depicts Roman sculpture. Olschki 17450.
