A good copy of this description of the Escorial, the royal palace of King Philip II, by Ximinez, a monk at the Hieronymite monastery. It incorporates Los Santos' description of 1647, adding a new history of the royal works and a catalogue of the collection of paintings. Berlin Kat. 2767.
