A FINE INDIAN IVORY QALAMDAN, probably made for the Qajar market with rounded ends and sliding tray, the box very finely carved from a single piece of ivory, the top with birds, roses and other flowers in a small lobed border, the sides with hunting scenes showing men on horseback and on foot with dogs chasing lion, deer and boar, in a similar border, the underneath plain, the tray also fashioned from a single piece of ivory carved at one end in a continuation of the hunting scene, 19th century (excellent condition) in a presentation box
