A NISHAPUR BLACK AND WHITE GLAZED CONICAL BOWL on short foot, the white interior left plain save for the central black roundel with a stylised bird flanked by scrolling motifs, the body with an inverted kufic inscription (? baraka - blessing) a plain black stripe around the rim, the exterior plain white, 10th century (repaired, very slight restoration)
