A FINE PERSIAN PIERCED AND SILVER INLAID BRONZE BIRD, with rounded body, fanned tail and small wings, the body and tail finely pierced and inlaid with scrolling arabesques and vine around a small geometric patterned roundel on the breast, a band of interlace around the neck, the wings inlaid with a flowering vine motif, the head cast with crest, ridged beak and scrolling vine around the drop-shaped eye, on a small square stand similarly pierced, circa 14th century (slight damage to neck and wings)
