A MAMLUK STYLE GLASS HANGING LAMP AND BRACKET, the lamp with well-rounded body on short foot with wide flaring neck, the mouth enamelled in white, red, blue and gold with a band of blue naskh on scrolling vine interrupted by roundels containing the cup-bearer's blazon around the neck below a minor floral band, the body with a wide band of blue and gold dense floral sprays, roundels alternating with triangular arabesque panels below, three loop handles, probably by Brocard, 5in. (13cm.) high, the gilt-metal bracket comprising a panel with pendant arising from a star shaped base supporting the scrolling foliate hook and hanging bell-shaped attachment with three chains, extensively painted in enamel with polychrome panels, mid 19th century 12in.
