A VIENNA-STYLE DARK-BLUE-GROUND VASE AND DOMED COVER, the slender tapering body painted by E. Latt with a continuous frieze of maidens wearing classical dress seated in a sailing-boat, two playing the harp as two others sing from open scores, the remaining assembly listening with rapt attention, three nereids adorned with laurel playing in the water before distant mountains, the frieze enclosed by seeded gilt bands above and below and with white 'jewelled' pendent scrolls, the flared neck and foot with similar decoration, on a square plinth, signed, blue beehive and Austria mark, circa 1900
