AN ORMOLU AND SÈVRES-PATTERN CLOCK-GARNITURE, the central clock-case with a dark-blue-ground porcelain face reserved with a scene of two ladies in a garden watching two fish grappling in a pool within a white 'jewelled' and gilt surround, the dial enclosing a painted view of a country garden with a balustrade, the side panels similarly painted, the front cast with female caryatids supporting vases and the case further cast with scrolls, the arched top surmounted by a vases, the lower part cast with laurel, husks and scrolls and on four feet, on a detchable giltwood base, the flanking vases reserved with scenes of children in landscapes and the necks with flowers, mounted with metal liners, two foliate-scroll handles with female mask terminals and on square bases (covers of vases and some 'jewels' lacking, gilding worn, erse and handle loose), circa 1880
