A PAIR OF GILT-METAL-MOUNTED SÈVRES-PATTERN SLENDER BALUSTER VASES, the dark-blue grounds reserved with tight bouquets of Summer flowers within white cartouches edged with gilt dentil-pattern, outlined with meandering foliage scrolls enclosing seeded and dentil-patterns, the grounds further enriched with gilt caillouté, mounted with a band of acanthus at the rims, two scroll handles with lions' mask and laurel-wreath terminals, bands of gadroons and acanthus at the lower bodies and on circular fluted bases cast with acanthus and ribbon-tied swags of laurel, on four bun feet (one with crack and repair to neck), circa 1880, converted to table-lamps
