A MAJOLICA MODEL OF A HERON, the slender bird with a sinuous neck, its head turned to preen its back-feathers, painted in pale-grey and white with pink and yellow features, its tail-feathers painted in yellow and white enriched in black, standing on a pierced tree-trunk (hairline cracks to neck and side, re-stuck to trunk and with restoration to top of left leg), impressed mark, circa 1870
