A GERMAN CIRCULAR AMETHYSTINE QUARTZ SNUFF-BOX, the cover applied with a chased and engraved openwork vine entwined with shell, scroll and foliage border, the baluster sides with sloping reeded mounts and circular foot, shell thumbpiece, probably Dresden, mid-18th Century 2¾in. (7cm.) diam.
