An Edwardian solid mahogany quarter chiming longcase clock, the case plinth on out-set volute feet, the plinth applied with foliate carved wood decoration, the trunk with arched door and flanked by rams' heads with trailing husks and accanthus-carved terminals, the hood with fluted pilasters headed by volutes and surmounted by flaming urns, the moulded top surmounted by a further gadrooned flaming urn finial, the dial with moonphase in the arch, silvered chapter ring with raised gilt Arabic chapters, pierced blued hands, subsidiary seconds ring in the centre overlaid with a pierced gilt mask, subsidialry rings above for chime/silent and Whittington/Westminster chimes, the massive four pillar movement with jewelled deadbeat escapement with beat adjustment to the wood-rod pendulum, chiming on nine chrome plated tubes; three similarly plated weights
