A SILVER-HILTED SMALL-SWORD with tapering colichmarde blade (pitted) of hollow triangular section etched with strapwork and foliage on both sides at the forte, the hilt cast and chased in low relief with foliage against a granular ground, including double shell-guard and rounded pommel, the latter with a demi-figure on each side, arms, and original wire-bound wooden grip, maker's mark PD, circa 1720
