ANOTHER, similar, of bold form, the base of the skull encircled by brass dome-headed lining rivets, iron shield-shaped plume-holder, the surface etched and gilt (gilding later) throughout with running foliage on a granular ground, on the skull arranged in vertical bands set alternately with bands of trophies of arms and instruments divided by narrower bands of creeper-like foliage, on either side of the comb a circular panel framing respectively a male and female profile head flanked by panels of trophies (some slight wear and rust holes throughout), circa 1560
