A GERMAN 1856 MODEL PERCUSSION JÄGER RIFLE with browned sighted barrel stamped 'Oberndorf' at the breech, case-hardened patent breech, long case-hardened tang, case-hardened lock (action defective) stamped 'Königl. Wurt: Fabrik.', walnut full stock, blued iron mounts, two spring-held barrel-bands and a muzzle-band, sling swivels, and much of its original finish throughout, the butt with brass plaque inscribed'....Jägergewehr Modell 1856.' (the first part of the inscription erased)
