A hero riding a garuda bird fires a flame at two heroes who are wrapped up by two snakes. An inscription on the reverse identifies the hero on the garuda as Rama. Garuda is the vehicle of Wisnu, of whom Rama is an incarnation. Dr. A. Vickers tentatively identifies the two heroes wrapped by snakes as Laksmana and Wibisana. The snakes can be explained as transformations of the arrows. Furthermore the text on the reverse identifies the demon as Kala Geni, the Fire Demon: "Tjerita Kelika (ketika) sang Keishawa Kellinpeong (kalinpun) didia Kala Geni! Rama memetang panah detia Kala Geni". An inscription in Dutch also on the reverse reads as: 'Kisalawa shot by Rama". The artist was a member of the Pita Maha artist's association.
