拍品專文

A portrait of the same sitter ('Tetoro: Chief of New Zealand Drawn by R. Read from life. 1820') was engraved by Finden and published as a colour aquatint in R.A. Cruise, Journal of a ten months' residence in New Zealand, London, 1823. The portrait was presumably painted on the Chief's visit to New South Wales in 1824.
