An antique diamond flowerspray pendant mounted en pampilles
The central diamond flowerhead set with a cushion-cut diamond weighing 4.36 carats within a diamond foliate surround with a diamond ribbon-bow and triple flowerhead surmount, the central flowerhead mounted en tremblant set with a cushion-cut diamond weighing 5.17 carats, suspending multiple diamond foliate tassels, mounted in silver and gold, 1850, (few diamonds deficient)

Lot Essay

The antique diamond pendant offered for sale was originally a part of the dowry for Princess Louise, married(1850) to Carl XV of Sweden and Norway, née Princess of the Netherlands, it was given to their daughter Princess Loise, married to King Frederik VIII of Denmark and to their son Prince Harald, married to Princess Helene of Slesvig-Holsten Sonderborg.

The pendant was subsequently bought from Princess Helene by Ingeborg Holm, married to Consul Christian Holm who then gave it to their daughter Astrid, married to K.F.S. count Ahlefeldt-Laurvig, Eriksholm and was finally given to their grandchild William Ahlefeldt-Laurvig, Eriksholm.
