A William IV Scottish oak longcase clock, second quarter 19th century
The case with swan neck pediment to the hood, outset brass-capped fluted columns, conforming pilasters flanking the arched trunk door, on stepped plinth, the 12½in. wide white dial painted with a windmill to the arch, subsidiary seconds and date rings to the centre, signed Rutherford Jedburgh, brass hands (date lacking), pinned directly to the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement -- 80¾in. (203cm.) high
