Of Renaissance style, the spreading foot chased with hippocamps, Neptune, Europa and sea monsters, the stem formed as a mermaid with her arms held aloft supporting the nautilus shell bowl, with demi-female figure straps cast with masks fruits and swags and surmounted by the head of a sea monster, the plain rim engraved with inscription, marked on foot, 10¾in. (27.5cm.) high
