A NORTH AMERICAN COW-HORN POWDER-FLASK, the nozzle with two raised reeded turns (chipped), the body with raised central section divided into two, the upper-half with cusped upper edge and incised with a horseman in contemporary costume, wild fowl, a dog, a boar, a bull and a lion all in a landscape, the lower-half incised with two native Indians and a dog hunting birds and a stag and a hind in a wooded landscape below the inscription 'Made By Hezah, Calvin Aitchpillake AD 1785', and with rounded wooden base-plug held by small wooden pegs, dated 1785
