A SWISS 1860/63 MODEL PERCUSSION INFANTRY RIFLE, with browned sighted barrel, octagonal breech with blued adjustable back-sight, case-hardened patent breech, long case-hardened tang, case-hardened lock, figured walnut full stock, blued iron mounts (minor wear) including spur trigger-guard, two spring-held barrel-bands and a pierced muzzle-band also forming the front ramrod-pipe, blued sling swivels, original brass-tipped iron ramrod, and most of its original finish, the butt with small brass circular plaque stamped 'M+S 228', and a typed paper label inscribed '85 Schweizer Inf. Gewehr Mod. 1860/63'
