A SILVER- AND GOLD-MOUNTED SINGLE-TRIGGER OVER-AND-UNDER FLINTLOCK POCKET PISTOL with blued octagonal barrels, the upper one sighted and signed in gold, the lower one engraved with the address, gold breech lines and platinum lined touch-holes, engraved case-hardened tang, signed case-hardened locks each with blued external mainspring, roller, rainproof pan, safety-catch, and engraved 'French' cock with blued top jaw and screw, chequered figured walnut butt, engraved silver trigger-guard and pommel, the latter with vacant gold cap, small gold escutcheon, original iron ramrod with chequered tip, and much of its original finish throughout, by Joseph Egg, No. 1, Piccadilly, London, No. 2241, circa 1816-17
