P. Salverte, in his Les ebénistes du XVIII siècle, Paris 1953, p.320, records two ebénists with the initials F G - although the Louis XV ebéniste is recorded as having stamped 'F.G.', while the menuisier with closely related brand dates from the Louis XVI period.
