A SÈVRES (LATER-DECORATED) DISH, the pale-blue ground reserved in the centre with two brightly coloured exotic birds in a shrubby landscape vignette within a chased gilt band of flowers and scrolls, the broad border reserved with six overlapping large white shell-shaped cartouches edged with gilt feuilles-de-choux, linked by gilt ribbon-tied wreaths of flowers, the ground further enriched with gilt caillouté, the exterior similarly decorated, imitation blue interlaced L mark, the porcelain 18th Century, the decoration circa 1840
