A BERLIN POT-POURRI VASE AND PIERCED COVER of ogee shape, modelled with two white and gilt foliage-scroll handles entwined with yellow sashes striped in gilt and puce and tied with ribbon encircling the lower bodies, painted in a soft palette with a cluster of flowers and fruit on the front and back below white and pink flowers applied in high relief and arched gilt palm-fronds, the cover applied with projecting leaves and the finial formed as three large roses, on a leaf-moulded spreading circular base (chips to applied flowers, parts of two leaves on cover lacking and one repaired, chips to foliage scrolls), blue sceptre mark, iron-red KPM and globe mark, impressed S 4, circa 1880
