a versified love story of a Hindu boy and girl, Manshar and Madh, Persian manuscript on buff paper, 110ff. plus three flyleaves, each with 12ll. of black nasta'liq, gold intercolumnar and interlinear divisions, gold and orange margins between black rules, blue outer rule, gold outer margin, headings in red, interspersed throughout with NUMEROUS MINIATURES illustrating the story, circa 1730, each interleaved, opening bifolio with Qajar illuminated heading and scrolling floral margin, (some staining, smudging and rubbing, some remargining and repairs, loose from binding), final folio with colophon signed by Abu'l-Hasan Zahid and dated 1065, red morocco binding with gold stamped medallion and spandrels (worn)
