a eulogy to Nasr al-Din Shah (1848-96 AD), Persian mauscript on ivory paper, the central panel with 41ll. of elegant black nasta'liq between gold clouds, gold roundels between phrases, red and gold margins between black, white and green rules, wide outer border of large flowing gold nasta'liq above and black nasta'liq on the remaining three sides, in clouds painted with curving gold floral sprays on a gold ground painted with small polychrome groups of flowers, a black and white margin around the clouds, the upper gold line reading 'Nasr al-Din Shah Qajar, may his kingship be eternal', the other three sides continuing in praise of the Shah, signed in the last line of the central panel by Shukrullah Namengar b. Marhum Fath 'Ali Khan Tunikabuni and dated 1303, (negligible staining, slight corrosion of gold at edges, a few small clean tears), mounted on card
