AN FINE LARGE INDIAN INSET AND ENAMELLED GOLD MOUNTED DAGGER (pesh-kabz) with single-edged watered steel blade, the spine with a gold damascened arabesque panel at each end, the hilt of typical form faced in gold enamelled with a blue ground around scrolling flowering vine inlaid with flat-cut diamonds and flanked by polychrome enamelled peacocks, the steel spine thickly damascened with meandering gold flowering vine, the cloth covered wooden sheath with gold mounts similarly enamelled and inset to the grip, 18th century (slight damage to enamels)
