by the Imperial Porcelain Factory, St. Petersburg, period of Nicholas I
Of irregular form, the shell-shaped base decorated with gilt and pink at intervals, the shaped body with flowers, a bird and gilt decoration on white ground with lower pale green border, the gilt handle modelled as a branch of coral, marked under base.

Lot Essay

This jug is made from the same mould as those of the Coral Tea Service of 1846.
