Charles (1780-1807), second son of the Hon. William Fullerton-Elphinstone joined the Navy at the behest of his uncle, Admiral Lord Keith. He captained H.M.S. Greyhound and defeated a superior Dutch force in the Java seas in July 1806. He died on H.M.S. Blenheim
