4°, 310x245mm, 105 leaves + 2 later leaves of index on paper, and final leaf on paper, 1970 armorial shields, of which approximately 1550 are coloured (those between ff 68 and 95 are mostly uncoloured), representing the arms of English peers, knights and baronets, etc. (Unfortunately, the contents have been exposed to water and the colour on many shields is smudged).
