The maginga (sing. iginga), whether individually or collectively held, are associated with the lutumbo lwa kindi grade of the Bwami society, and regarded as the "heart" of kindi. Each iginga is associated with at least one aphorism which identifies it and gives it a name (Biebuyck, 1973, p.161)
