The cup bearing marks for London, 1766, maker's mark possibly that of Samuel Whitford I or White (Grimwade, unregistered marks), cover unmarked, cup perhaps re-shaped
The urn form cup engraved with script initials JM, on raised circular short pedestal base, the two scroll handles with heart form terminal, the molded low domed detachable cover topped by baluster finial--11½in. (29.2cm.) high, 35oz.
