The tongs probably silver but unmarked; the sauce ladle maker's mark of Gorham; the pierced ladle J * P, retailed by Tiffany; and the fork Bailey, Banks & Biddle, all 19th century
The first with handle cartouche engraved C. Mellon, with flat baluster blades partly pierced and engraved with Grecian motifs--10¼in. (26cm.) long, the next two initialed M; the ladle with partly twisted stem, terminal applied with satyr's mask; the other with part-engraved stem, with shell form bowl; the four-prong fork struck with flowers and foliate scrolls, together with a silver-plated soup ladle, the silver--15oz.
